GPO Cotton Lace

• GPO Lace, also known as Guipure lace, is created through a chemical (or Schiffli) embroidery process: intricate designs are stitched onto a non-woven paper backing that is later dissolved, leaving behind the floating lace pattern. The yarn used can be cotton, polyester, or blends

Special process:

• Embroidery is done onto a non-woven geotextile paper.

• The fabric is then submerged in a chemical bath or water, dissolving the paper substrate.

• What remains is the delicate and beautiful lace design
